DataClip — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Summary

DataClip is designed to be private. All of your data stays in your browser. We do not collect, store, sell or share personal data, and the extension contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What the extension does with data

DataClip extracts tables, lists and article text from the web page you are currently viewing, entirely inside your browser. The extracted content is shown to you and copied or downloaded only at your request. Page content is never transmitted to us or to any third party. A daily usage counter is stored locally in your browser.

Payments (Pro upgrade)

Optional Pro upgrades are processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe. When you choose to upgrade, ExtensionPay handles your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment card information. The extension contacts extensionpay.com only to check the license status of your installation.

Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum Chrome permissions required for the features described above. It does not read your browsing history and does not run in the background on pages you visit, except as required for the features you explicitly use.

Data retention and deletion

Because all data is stored locally in your browser, uninstalling the extension permanently deletes it. You can also clear the extension's data at any time from your browser settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
